Amazon deliveries improving after suburban homeowners report issues

LOCKPORT, Ill. (WLS) — Consumer Investigator Jason Knowles and the ABC7 I-Team first told you last week about Amazon deliveries being tossed in snowy yards and on curbs instead of doorsteps in south suburban Lockport.

Residents also say that packages had been delivered to the wrong addresses and even thrown in a pile in a public area of the neighborhood.

Residents say good Samaritan neighbors pitched in to help get deliveries to where they needed to be.

“My wife was missing one package with about five, six times in it all for Christmas, which she bought for her mother,” said Keith Seper. “Things have gotten better… After a week of this happening, it slowly vanished, like it never happened at all.”

Amazon apologized to customers who did not receive the deliveries they deserve. The company added that it took appropriate action to ensure the scattered deliveries do not continue.

Amazon also said customers can track deliveries, and its customer service team is available 24/7.
