Amazon Music increases subscription prices in the US and UK
February 6, 2026
The music-streaming price-rises domino effect continues. Spotify’s recent decision to hike its subscriptions in the US and other key markets is emboldening rivals to follow suit.
Amazon Music, for example. It has increased its Amazon Music Unlimited prices in the US and UK – immediately for new subscribers, and over the next couple of months for existing listeners.
MBW noted that this is the second price rise within 12 month for Amazon Music Unlimited, which now costs the same as Spotify in the US – while continuing to offer a one-dollar discount for Prime members.
The news came as parent company Amazon announced its latest financial results. Its revenues were up 14% to $213.4bn in the final quarter of 2025, including $13.12bn from subscription services – a category that includes Amazon Music, but also Prime memberships, Audible and Prime Video.
