Amazon Music Launches New Beta Feature ‘Fan Groups’ in Canada

November 10, 2025

Last week, Amazon announced it’s putting Alexa Plus into its music app, and it’s keeping the updates coming. The company has now launched a new feature called Fan Groups in beta in Canada.

The Amazon Music feature brings dedicated communities where people can “discover, share, chat, and listen to music” in the iOS and Android app. Fan Groups center on favorite artists, songs, genres or music. People can create new groups, join ongoing chat threads, make new posts and react with emoji.

Participants in the groups can save music recommendations and instantly stream recommended music. Fan Groups will roll out in the US and additional markets globally starting in 2026.

Several active groups touching on musical interests, including country and K-pop, are part of the initial beta launch. Artists who want to connect with fans can create new groups, and all Fan Groups are public.
