January 15, 2026
The certification, awarded by the Top Employers Institute, acknowledges our commitment to the development and well-being of our employees in 12 countries: Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Luxemburg, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, UK, Austria, Netherlands and Ireland.
The Top Employers Institute is the global authority in HR certification. It certifies organisations based on the results of its HR Best Practices Survey, which covers six domains including People Strategy, Work Environment, Talent Acquisition, Learning, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and Wellbeing. In 2025, Top Employers Institute certified more than 2,500 organisations in 131 countries and regions.
Today, Amazon employs over 230,000 people in permanent roles across Europe, with the certification spanning our operations network, corporate offices, customer service centers, and research and development facilities.

Mariangela Marseglia, VP EU Stores at Amazon, said: “Being recognized as a Top Employer across Europe for the fourth consecutive year is an incredible honor and acknowledges our ongoing commitment to the development and well-being of our employees. We’re investing in upskilling our teams through comprehensive training programs and cutting-edge AI tools, creating opportunities for career growth from entry-level positions to advanced professional roles, enabling our people to develop their skills and positively impact the lives of our customers.”
Stefano Perego, VP International Operations & Global Ops Services, said “Throughout our operations network, we’re committed to creating the conditions that unlock our people’s potential at every stage of their career. This means ensuring a safe and positive work environment where employees can grow through dedicated training programs, benefit from technology to support their daily tasks and learn from inspiring managers and teammates. Earning the Top Employer designation across Europe for the fourth year in a row demonstrates our dedication to this vision and demonstrates the progress we’re making every day.”
Adrian Seligman, Top Employers Institute CEO, commented: “Being recognised as a Regional Top Employer for 2026 is a significant achievement that reflects the strength and consistency of Amazon people strategy across multiple countries. Their capability to scale strategy while reflecting diverse markets demonstrates exceptional organisational discipline, leadership alignment, and a mature approach to using insights and benchmarking to drive business performance across borders. This recognition positions Amazon as a leader across Europe, creating meaningful and measurable impact for its employees and business. We are proud to celebrate this continued commitment to HR excellence.”
Investing in our people
By combining technological advancements with competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and a focus on safety and sustainability, we provide some of the most advanced workplaces of their kinds in the world where our employees can thrive, grow, and contribute meaningfully.
One of the benefits we are most proud of is Career Choice, a programme that funds education and training for eligible employees in the field of their choice. In Europe, Career Choice prepays 100% of tuition fees an offers different training in fields ranging from IT to transportation and skilled trades. This makes it easier for people to gain the skills they need to build their careers, whether at Amazon or beyond.
Technology is playing a crucial role in the upskilling of our employees. As we continue to deploy AI and automation, the types of roles at our sites are evolving. Some technical jobs will grow, other roles will change, and new ones will emerge. We’re investing in employees through upskilling programs that prepare them for the changing nature of work.
Our goal is to have the safest workplaces in our industries, and we’re making measurable progress—the injuries that require more than basic first aid are down 34% over the past five years globally. In 2025 alone, we’ve allocated hundreds of millions of dollars to invest in technologies, resources, training, and programs to further our safety efforts.
These initiatives represent just a few examples of our commitment to creating a positive workplace where employees can develop their skills and advance their careers. We’re proud of Top Employer recognition and grateful to thousands of employees across Europe who make Amazon a great place to work every day.
