Amazon Plans 300 Jobs at New Woodbury Delivery Station

March 11, 2026

More than 300 people are expected to be employed at the Amazon delivery station opening in northeast Woodbury in the next few months, according to a company spokesperson.

The company mailed a flyer to Woodbury households to promote its job openings. The mailer touts an average wage over $23 with health insurance at $5 per week with $5 copays. Free skills training and apprenticeships for higher pay are also available.

“The new delivery station will be the fourth of its kind in the Twin Cities, allowing us faster and more efficient delivery to our customers throughout the metro, including the east metro,” the spokesperson stated in an email to Woodbury News Net.

A delivery station is a last-mile facility where packages are sorted into routes for delivery drivers. Amazon has delivery stations operating in Centerville, Eagan, and Maple Grove.

When the city council considered the facility, city staff said the delivery station will operate 24/7. Deliveries from the warehouse to homes and businesses will be made by 450 vans from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

About 20 semi trucks will make deliveries to the center from midnight to 7 a.m. The site hosts more than 200 charging stations for Amazon’s electric delivery vans.

An Amazon sortation center is located across the street from the delivery station on Hudson Road. The sortation center, employing around 800 people, is a middle-mile facility, sorting and routing packages to delivery stations.

With 1,100 employees in Woodbury, Amazon would become one of the city’s top employers.
