Amazon Prime Day 2025: Here’s What We Know About the Summer Shopping Event

Amazon has officially announced that Prime Day will make its grand return this summer. The retailer teased the upcoming shopping event online this week, which is set to take place at some point this July 2025.

For those without a Prime membership, Prime Day is Amazon‘s massive sales event, featuring thousands of discounts on tech devices, beauty products, and home goods for a limited time. Here’s everything we know (so far) about what Amazon has in store for Prime Day 2025.

So far, Amazon hasn’t officially revealed the specific dates for the upcoming shopping event, but if the retailer’s previous sales are any indication, all signs point towards Prime Day 2025 lasting for a couple of days this summer.

The short answer is that you don’t have to have an Amazon Prime membership to snag discounts on products during Amazon’s Prime Day event, though some discounts will only be exclusively available for members to save some extra cash.

The good news: You can sign up for a 30-day Amazon Prime free trial before committing to the membership. Want to keep your plan? A Prime membership costs $14.99 per month, or $139 annually. Another real benefit to having a membership: Prime members can also get free shipping on many products with their subscription.

Amazon said that this summer’s Prime Day would include discounts on the “hottest brands, socially trending items, creator favorites, and Amazon-exclusive products to make this July’s event even more valuable for members,” per a release. While Amazon broke the news that Prime Day would arrive once again this July, shoppers will stay have to wait a few more months to find out exactly which products get discounted.

In the past, some of the best Prime Day deals have included everything from steep markdowns on over-ear headphones, Bluetooth earbuds, wireless speakers, fitness gear like Peloton and treadmills, and a host of beauty products and outdoor gear, just in time for summer. During Amazon’s Prime Day 2024 event, some of the most worthwhile deals we saw included discounts on Apple devices, beauty serums, and even Amazon gadgets.
