Amazon introduced a new feature for U.S. customers on its streaming service who want to watch local, national and international news coverage.
Prime Video will now include a news destination on the homepage featuring networks such as ABC News Live, CBS News 24/7, LiveNOW from Fox, CNN Headlines, NBC News NOW.
All U.S. customers will receive free access to the news destination by the end of the year, Amazon announced in a news release.
“It can easily be found in the top navigation available throughout the Prime Video app, which is available on thousands of devices and available for all Amazon customers in the U.S. at no cost,” said Amazon in a statement.
Prime Video currently offers customers a variety of live and on-demand news content including sports, entertainment, Spanish-language and weather coverage.
The streaming service will add over 200 news channels to the destination by the end of the year.
Customers can access additional news content through subscriptions to Peacock Premium Plus, Paramount+ or FOX One.
Prime Video is included in an Amazon Prime membership, which costs $14.99 per month or $139 per year. Customers can watch shows and movies with limited ads or pay extra for an ad-free version.
