Elsie Silver’s “Rose Hill” novels are being developed as a television series at Amazon MGM Studios, Variety has learned exclusively.

There are currently three books in the “Rose Hill” series — “Wild Love,” “Wild Eyes,” and “Wild Side.” A fourth book, “Wild Card,” is due to be published later this year in September. No writer is currently attached to the TV adaptation.

Silver will serve as an executive producer on the show along with Wyck Godfrey, Marty Bowen, and James Seidman of Temple Hill. Temple Hill’s Annika Patton will produce.

The official logline for “Rose Hill” states:

Popular on Variety

“Welcome to Rose Hill, a small town nestled in the Rocky Mountains, where crystal-clear lakes, iconic honky-tonks, and wide-open skies create the perfect backdrop for creativity, reinvention—and falling in love. In this warm, sexy, and heartfelt ensemble drama, both lifelong locals and big-city transplants discover that love is messiest when it’s real, and family is often the one you build.”

The development deal was brokered by Untitled Entertainment on behalf of Kimberly Brower at Park, Fine & Brower Literary Management.

In addition to the books in the “Rose Hill” series, Silver has also published five “Chestnut Springs” books and four “Gold Rush Ranch” novels.

Amazon has found considerable success in recent years with shows based on novel series. Among their current shows, they have hits like: “Reacher,” based on Lee Child’s Jack Reacher books; “Cross,” based on James Patterson’s Alex Cross; and the YA drama “The Summer I Turned Pretty,” based on Jenny Han’s novel trilogy of the same name. The streaming arm of the tech giant is also currently developing a series version of Rebecca Yarros’ Empyrean series, beginning with “Fourth Wing,” among several other projects.
