November 13, 2025

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) – The Amazon Customer Service Center located in Huntington will close its doors next spring.

An Amazon spokesperson said “the customer service associates based out of our Huntington site are transitioning to virtual positions starting May 2026.”

WSAZ asked about the number of jobs that would be impacted, but the company spokesperson said they were not releasing specific numbers at this point.

The company further went on to say, “…With this change, our associates will work remotely while keeping their positions, wages and benefits. We remain committed to serving our customers, and we’ll be providing support to our team members over the next six months as they move into virtual positions.”

David Lieving, President & CEO of the Huntington Area Development Council (HADCO), said they will collaborate with the private entity who owns the space to market the property and attract businesses.
