United Group has announced the appointment of Ante Smokrović as Executive Director of its Energy Division, marking a strategic step in accelerating the company’s renewable energy goals. He will lead an international team managing the development, construction, and operation of United Group’s clean energy facilities across Southeast Europe.

This appointment underscores United Group’s long-term commitment to investing in clean energy infrastructure and delivering sustainable energy solutions across Southeast Europe. The company continues to expand its portfolio of renewable assets as part of its broader environmental and net-zero strategy.

With more than two decades of leadership in hydro, thermal, solar, and hybrid energy systems, having previously held senior roles at Končar and Crodux, Smokrović joins United Group from E.ON Croatia, where he led the operation and maintenance of the power generation portfolio as well as development and implementation of complex industrial projects. He will be instrumental in supporting UG’s net zero roadmap and ensuring the sustainable delivery of renewable energy to internal and external clients.
