AWS and Google Cloud launch private links for faster multicloud networking – The Times of

Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud have unveiled a new multicloud networking service in collaboration. As reported by Reuters, the multicloud networking service is designed to deliver faster and more reliable connectivity for enterprise customers.The report claims that this initiative by the company will allow the customers to establish private and high-speed links between the to companies and computing platforms.The new initiative by Google Cloud and Amazon Web Services will combine AWS Interconnect-multicloud with Google Cloud’s Cross-Cloud Interconnect. The initiative will also let the customers to setup high-speed connections between AWS and Google Cloud platforms in minutes.The service is also designed to offer reduced latency for mission-critical applications, improved reliability across cloud environments and simplified data movement between platforms.As per the Reuters report, the executives of both the companies stressed on the fact that the service introduced by AWS and Google Cloud highlight a fundamental shift in multicloud connectivity and also makes it easier for the organisations to run workloads across providers without sacrificing performance.”This collaboration between AWS and Google Cloud represents a fundamental shift in multicloud connectivity,” said Robert Kennedy, vice president of network services at AWS told Reuters.Rob Enns, vice president and general manager of cloud networking at Google Cloud, said the joint network is intended to make it easier for customers to move data and applications between clouds.The partnership between AWS and Google Cloud highlight how the cloud providers are adapting to world where multicloud strategies are the norm. By enabling faster, more secure connectivity, Amazon and Google are positioning themselves as leaders in helping enterprises manage complex digital infrastructures.
