Prime Video has handed a series order to The Chosen Adventures, an animated adventure comedy series about Jesus of Nazareth, from Amazon MGM Studios and Dallas Jenkins’ 5&2 Studios banner.
The series, which consists of 14 11-minute episodes, will premiere on Prime Video in the U.S. and internationally in the UK, Latin America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, and Sub Saharan Africa.
Written by Ryan Swanson (The Chosen), The Chosen Adventures follows nine-year-old Abby and her best friend Joshua as they navigate life in the ancient city of Capernaum. When the children encounter a wise craftsman and teacher, Jesus of Nazareth, he helps them change the way they see the world, and they help spread his influence far and wide (among the 7- to 12-year-old set). And did we mention that she has a talking sheep?

Other recurring and guest voice cast members include Jonathan Roumie as Jesus, Jordin Sparks as Fish, Paras Patel as Matthew, Elizabeth Tabish as Mary, Noah James as Andrew, Joey Vahedi as Thomas, George H. Earlier this year, Amazon MGM Studios inked a first-look multi-faceted deal with 5&2 Studios.
