I’ve been covering Black Friday longer than I care to admit, so (not to brag) when I say something’s worth it, grab it. Now’s not the time to be wishy-washy; with prices changing constantly and popular stuff in sellout-risk territory, your loss will be someone else’s gain.

Best Black Friday deals overall

• Apple TV ($5.99/month, was $12.99/month): Apple TV+ usually costs $12.99/month, but if you sign up now through Dec. 1, you can get over half off that rate and pay just $5.99/month for six months. With Apple TV, you can watch some of the best shows on television, like Slow Horses, Severance, Shrinking, The Morning Show and Pluribus, plus great movies like the Oscar-winning CODA, The Family Plan 2 and more.

• HBO Max ($2.99/month, was $10.99/month): A typical HBO Max Basic plan costs $10.99/month, but with this week’s Black Friday sale, you’ll pay just $2.99/month for a whole year if you subscribe through Prime Video — that’s a savings of nearly 75%. This deal runs through Dec. 2. HBO Max has IT: Welcome to Derry, Season 1 of The Pitt and films like The Conjuring: Last Rites and Elf, plus loads of great lifestyle shows on the Magnolia Network, HGTV and so much more.

• Peacock via Walmart+ ($49/year, was $98/year): Walmart+ members get free Peacock Premium (or Paramount+ Essential) included in their membership at no additional cost. A monthly subscription to Walmart+ costs $12.99, and an annual plan usually costs $98, but right now, you can get half off an annual membership. That means you’ll pay just $49 for Peacock (that’s 55% off!) and perks like five free months of Apple Music, discounts on Cinemark movie theater memberships, free shipping and delivery on Walmart purchases, discounts on gas and more. Peacock has Emmy Award-winning reality series The Traitors to All Her Fault. • Dyson V8 Plus ($280, was $540): It’s not every day a Dyson deal gets a shopping editor’s attention, but this one made our team do a double-take. At nearly 50% off, this lightweight (as in, 5.7-pound) bestseller is down to the best price we’re seeing it for on the web.

• Delamu 2-Tier Under-Sink Organizers, 2-Pack ($24, was $40): If the area under your sink has become a black hole of cleaning products (along with who knows what else), these slide-out shelves are here to save the day. Because each one has two levels, they’ll maximize your storage space, making it so much easier to find whatever it is you’re looking for. This is one of those items you’ll wonder how you ever lived without, and it’s down to its best price on record.

• MaxKare Electric Throw Blanket ($24, was $52): The good thing about temperatures plummeting is it gives us an excuse to laze around the house and partake in cozy activities, like puzzles, reading and streaming holiday movies. Of course, you’ll need a warm cover to curl up in, and thousands of shoppers swear by this one. It’s got one fluffy, fleecy side and one made of soft flannel, as well as six heat settings to keep you nice and toasty. Snag one for you and another for a loved one while it’s over 50% off.

• Beckham Hotel Collection Bed Pillows, Queen, 2-Pack ($42, was $80): These headrests are among Amazon’s most popular products, and Yahoo readers can’t stop scooping them up. After having heard nothing but raves about the Beckham Pillows for years, I finally bought a pair to see what all the hype was about. Fair warning: They come vacuum-sealed, so when you first see them, you’ll think, There’s no way these will be comfortable. But give ’em a few hours, and they fluff up beautifully. I was impressed by how soft yet supportive they feel, and was pleased to find that their breathable construction kept me from waking up with sweaty hair. Now I want to replace every pillow in my house with these — especially while they’re on rare sale for nearly 50% off.

• Shark Cordless Pet Stick Vacuum ($148, was $300): You love your pets, but the shedding? Not so much. True to its name, reviewers say this model’s a pro at sucking up their furry friends’ hair from surfaces of all types, thanks to its bristled brushroll — but even if you don’t count an animal among your housemates, you’ll appreciate its lightweight design, strong suction and, at least for the time being, its price tag. It’s an impressive 51% off (its best price of the year).

Its double-wall vacuum insulation helps regulate the temperature of any beverage (meaning, you can use it for cold drinks during the summer), and at $27, this cup is down to the best price I’ve seen.

• KitchenAid Classic Series Tilt-Head Stand Mixer, 4.5-Quart ($280, was $400): Been eyeing one of these bad boys? You’d be wise to pounce while you can save $120. At 4.5 quarts, it can hold enough dough to make up to eight dozen cookies at a time (and it won’t take up too much room in your kitchen). This is the brand I, a former professional baker, use at home, and it comes with a beater, dough hook and whisk attachments for making practically any baked good under the sun. Since it does all of the mixing for you, it’ll give your arms a break, and you can let it run while you prep other ingredients — a must when making large batches.

• Vitamix Explorian 2.0 Variable Speed Blender ($280, was $379): You’ll feel like you have your own personal smoothie shop with this best-in-class blender. Boasting a 2-horsepower motor, it’ll effortlessly blitz up ice and frozen fruit, though you could also use it for whizzing up sauces or even grinding up meat. From soup to nuts (as in, homemade nut butters), this workhorse will level up your meal prep like no other — and this is the best price I’m seeing online. • Ninja Creami ($149, was $199): I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream — and this wildly popular appliance will satiate your sweet tooth until the Mister Softee truck rolls around next summer. It churns out not just ice cream, but sorbet, milkshakes and more — just add your ingredients, freeze overnight, press a button and ta-da. • HexClad 10-Inch Hybrid Nonstick Frying Pan ($111, was $149): If whipping up a home-cooked meal is your idea of a cozy evening, you’ll need a reliable pan. Gordon Ramsay, a HexClad partner, says this one “cooks to absolute, utter perfection” — and sales are rare. The hybrid design marries strong stainless steel with nonstick properties for a cooking surface that can achieve a good sear while being easy to clean, and the signature hexagonal etching encourages browning. • Dyson Airwrap Origin ($400, was $550): Been itching to try this multitasking strand styler, but can’t stomach the idea of shelling out over $500? While it’s still an investment, this deal brings the price to its best outside of Prime Day — and take it from me, the most frugal person you’ll ever meet — it’s worth every penny. Equipped with drying, curling and volumizing brush attachments, it’s like having a blowdryer, curling iron and blowout tool in one. It feels far less harsh on my hair than other heating tools (it has a heat control function to help prevent damage), and it’s cut down my styling time dramatically. • Crest 3D Whitestrips ($30, was $46): This comprehensive kit is the most popular teeth-whitening treatment on Amazon due to its pro-level, smile-brightening effects. The pack comes with 22 pairs of treatments, with one upper and one lower strip for each sesh. With the new “advanced seal technology,” these strips no longer slip, so you can drink water and even talk while using them. Just peel a strip off, apply it over your teeth, leave it for about 30-45 minutes and voila! You’ll start to notice a whiter smile in as little as three days, with the full effect in about 20. This is the lowest price I’ve seen all year — yes, including Prime Day — so my advice? Stock up!

• CosRx Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence ($13, was $25): In case the idea of applying a snail secretion to your skin has never crossed your mind, take it from a slew of Amazon shoppers — it’s effective! This top-rated serum was purchased by over 90,000 people in the past month alone, thanks to its lightweight, refreshing feel and hydrating, rejuvenating effects. Snail mucin not only helps boost collagen and elastin for a firmer look and feel, but it can also gently exfoliate for a smoother texture while also soothing the skin. Reviewers reported noticing everything from a brighter complexion to a reduction in the appearance of fine lines and dark spots. According to my trackers, this is their best price of 2025.

• Apple 2025 MacBook Air, 13-inch ($749, was $999): “This updated version of the MacBook Air features the latest generation M4 chip, meaning you’ll get a much more powerful computer with everything else you love about the Air, including its outstanding 18-hour battery life and gorgeous 13.6-inch screen,” says McGraw. “Snag it now for its lowest price ever.”

• Ring Battery Doorbell ($50, was $100): “When I moved into my house six years ago, it came with a doorbell outside and an old-school chime inside — but neither had been hooked up in who knows how long,” says McGraw. “We needed a replacement, so we went with a Ring. It was super easy to install, doesn’t need to be charged all that often and the subscription is surprisingly cheap (though I am getting pretty sick of everything being a subscription these days).” At a rare 50% off, it’s within $2 of its all-time low.

• Lisen Retractable Car Charger ($16, was $28): With a lightning cable and USB-C cable built in, and two more USB ports, this charger has no issue charging up to four devices at once — and if you’ve ever been on a road trip with one charger and two dying phones, then you probably understand all too well why this nifty little gadget — currently over 40% off — could be an absolute lifesaver. I’ve never seen it on sale for less.

• Rove R2-4K Dash Cam ($72, was $120): You can never be too careful on the road, and while I certainly hope this is a “better safe than sorry” precaution, having this popular dash cam will allow you to record any incidents. Not only that, a built-in GPS makes hands-free navigation a breeze. I’ve never seen it on sale for less, so you’re unlikely to find a better deal than this 40% markdown.

• Adidas Women’s Cloudfoam Pure Sneaker ($38, was $75): “These babies have received tons of glowing testimonials from people who are constantly on their feet, like nurses, restaurant servers, even Disney theme park fanatics,” says Carhart. “If they can handle that kind of nonstop wear, they’ll certainly keep your dogs comfortable and pain-free all day long. Not surprisingly, they’re usually sold out, but now they’re yours for the taking and on sale.”

• Lands’ End Wanderweight Packable Down Long Jacket ($100, was $200): If you’ve yet to purchase winter wear, Black Friday is a fab time to grab essentials for a steal. Take this lightweight puffer, for example — it’s 50% off in most colors and folds down into a compact bundle for easy packing.

• H&M Chunky-Knit Half-Zip Sweater ($28, was $40): I love a versatile half-zip — pull the zipper all the way up for a sleek turtleneck-like look or wear it open to keep things breezy and casual. This sweater has a longer length that makes it look extra luxe, even though it’s a steal at under $30.

• Chico’s No Iron Pearl-Button Stretch Shirt ($60, was $100): Don’t feel like packing a travel iron in your suitcase? Opt for wrinkle-resistant clothing, like this classic button-down, which was designed with minimal maintenance in mind. The pearl-like buttons are a lovely, elegant touch.

• White House Black Market Satin Trim Jogger ($59, was $99): Joggers are for those of us who wish we could wear our comfy sweatpants in public without looking like we just rolled out of bed. What sets this pair apart is its satin accents, which give it an “everyday, but elevated” quality.

Black Friday return policies at major retailers

It happens: You purchase a gift for someone, and it turns out the recipient already has one. Or maybe you were given a sweater, and it’s just a tad too large. Whatever the case may be, many major retailers are offering extended holiday return windows, so you’ll be able to remedy the situation without issue.

Amazon

According to Amazon’s Help & Customer Service page, “Most items purchased between November 1 and December 31, 2025, can be returned through January 31, 2026. Apple-branded products purchased between November 1 and December 31, 2025, can be returned through January 15, 2026.”

Macy’s

Macy’s Help Center states, “For the holiday season, Macy’s is extending our return acceptance timeframe. Effective on purchases starting October 6, 2025, to December 31, 2025, most merchandise purchased at Macy’s or macys.com will be accepted for an extended return period until January 31, 2026.”

Target

Over at Target, shoppers have an extended window to return purchases made between November 1 and December 24, 2025, with that period beginning on December 26, 2025. The retailer says, “Target offers free returns on most new, unopened items within 90 days of purchase. This year, we’re extending our holiday return window for electronics and entertainment items — including Apple and Beats products and mobile phones — as well as most Target Plus items purchased between Nov. 1 and Dec. 24, 2025.”

Target goes on to explain, “Electronics and entertainment items (excluding Apple and Beats)” can be returned until January 24, 2026.” For “Apple and Beats products and mobile phones (unlocked or pre-paid),” you’ll need to return by January 9, 2026. Finally, “Most Target Plus items (excluding seasonal holiday décor) will have 30 days from December 26 to make a return — items must be returned by January 24, 2026.”

Walmart

Many items bought in Walmart stores and online can be returned within 90 days of purchase, but the retailer is offering a holiday extension. “Most items purchased in-store or online from October 1 through December 31 are returnable until January 31,” says the brand’s return policy page. “Marketplace seller participation varies.”
