Cannabis conference coming to Grappone Center on Nov. 22
October 28, 2025
The Therapeutic Cannabis Program has quietly served New Hampshire patients since 2016, but on Saturday, November 22, it takes center stage at the first New Hampshire Cannabis Conference, hosted at the Grappone Conference Center in Concord.
Presented by Holistic Pros and sponsored by GraniteLeaf Cannabis, this inaugural event will bring together patients, providers, policymakers, and the public to explore how cannabis is impacting health and wellness across the state. With a theme of “Out of the Shadows, Into the Light,” the conference is designed to foster education, connection, and open conversation about therapeutic cannabis.
Event Highlights
- Morning Networking & Breakfast – A chance to meet industry leaders, educators, advocates, and elected officials.
- Cannabis at the Capitol – Presentations and panel discussions examining the past, present, and future of cannabis policy in New Hampshire.
- “How it Started, How it’s Going, and Considerations for the Future” –A brief history and status report on the Therapeutic Cannabis Program, with a focus on current challenges and opportunities for improving service to patients. Presented by Dr. Jerry Knirk, chairman of the Therapeutic Cannabis Medical Oversight Board, and Michael Holt, Therapeutic Cannabis Program Administrator.
- “What Can N.H. Learn from Other States?” Panel discussion moderated by former NH House Counsel Paul Twomey and former Rep. Joe Hannon. Featuring cannabis regulators and policy experts from other states, including Commissioner Julie Hulburd from the Vermont Cannabis Control Board and Gabi Pierce, Policy Director of Maine Office of Cannabis Policy
- “Cannabis in Practice” – Panel discussion moderated by Dr. Jerry Knirk featuring medical providers, including Kelly DeFeo, Nadine Laughlin and Dr. David Nagel who will share insights from their experiences working with patients who use therapeutic cannabis.
- Share Your Story – Hear from patients who are stepping forward to share how cannabis has impacted their lives. Patients bring their experiences out of the darkness, and into the light.
- Keynote Presentation at 3 p.m. – “From Data to Dosing, Current Research to Advance Personalized Cannabis Care” with Dr. Riley Kirk, author of the book “Reefer Wellness: Understanding Cannabis Science, Culture, and Medicine.“
- The conference will also feature a robust exhibit hall with medical providers available to answer questions, book off-site appointments, and connect with the community. As well as complementary wellness practices and advocates.
Why It Matters
“This is more than an event—it’s a moment to educate, empower, and inspire,” said event coordinator Sonia Gaudette. “By bringing together professionals, patients, and policymakers, we’re helping New Hampshire see the full potential of its Therapeutic Cannabis Program.”
“I’m excited to see that the ‘Live Free or Die’ state will finally be experiencing its first cannabis conference,” said Matt Simon, director of public and government relations at GraniteLeaf Cannabis. “The inaugural New Hampshire Cannabis Conference will be a great educational and networking opportunity for patients, caregivers, medical professionals, policymakers, and any other Granite Stater who cares about the future of cannabis in our state.”
