Happy Hippie Wellness, a CBD and gift shop next to Cassville Dispensary, will host the first-ever Hippie Drippy Block Party on Friday, June 27, from 6 to 10 p.m. The cannabis-focused community event marks a unique moment for Barry County, bringing together music, food, education, and advocacy in a festive setting.

Attendees can enjoy live music, food trucks, a tie-dye station, and vendor booths featuring cannabis companies and local artisans. The event is free to attend and includes opportunities to meet cannabis brands, grab a lemonade, cool off with ice cream, enjoy barbecue, and connect with others.

Sponsored by Cassville Dispensary and Heartland Labs, with support from partners like Sinse, Robust, Twenty Twenty, Teal, ROVE, and Vivid, the Hippie Drippy Block Party aims to promote education and awareness in a relaxed, welcoming environment.

“This event is special because in such a small, rural community, we regularly fight the stigmatization of cannabis being ‘bad’ or a gateway drug,” said Charlea Estes-Jones, General Manager of Cassville Dispensary. “Holding a cannabis-centric social gathering has never been done publicly in Barry County, and to see the community supportive of it really shows how valuable supporting and educating the local community is.”

Estes-Jones added, “As the general manager of Cassville Dispensary for five years, it really warms my heart to see how supportive our local community is of a get together like this. People have been enthusiastic and excited about an event just for the stoners. In a town where everyone knows your name and what you drive, it takes patience and understanding as cannabis advocates to encourage people to look outside of their assumptions about marijuana and give it a try for better health. There is so much excitement building about our Hippie Drippy Block Party, and we hope it’s the first of many.”
