DANVILLE, Ill. (WICS) — A Champaign man was arrested on Monday after police found him to be in possession of 500 grams of illegal cannabis.

At 8:30 p.m. a Danville Police Officer stopped a vehicle in the area of the 1500 block of Crestview Drive due to registration and equipment violations. During the traffic stop the officer observed illegal drug violations inside the vehicle.

The vehicle’s driver was identified as, Michael A. Glover-Napper, 31.

The officer’s investigation determined Glover-Napper to be in possession of over 500 grams of illegal cannabis and also illegally in possession of a firearm.

Glover-Napper was taken to the Vermilion County Public Safety Building and booked on charges of Possession of Cannabis over 500 grams and Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon
