Chaucer appoints Jordan Ray as Head of Renewable Energy and Energy Transition

Chaucer Group, a global specialty insurance and reinsurance group, has announced the appointment of Jordan Ray as Head of Renewable Energy and Energy Transition.

Chaucer logoBased in London, Ray will report to and work closely with Simon Schnorr, Head of Marine and Energy.

In her new role, Ray will lead the development of Chaucer’s underwriting strategy for its renewable energy portfolio and manage her team. She will also drive strategic initiatives within the energy division and deliver cross-class solutions to support clients’ energy transition goals.

Ray brings over a decade of insurance industry experience, having written specialty treaty, US, and international property reinsurance before transitioning to the renewables sector.

She joins Chaucer from The Fidelis Partnership, where she most recently served as Head of Renewable Energy.

Prior to that, Ray spent five years as a Property Treaty Underwriter at Agora Syndicate 3268, following a similar role at Tamesis DUAL.
