We spy bad news for Citadel: Honey Bunny and Citadel: Diana.

Both of the Citadel spy thriller’s offshoots have been cancelled at Prime Video, after one-and-done runs — though their stories will continue some, in Season 2 of the mothership series starring Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas.

“Having successfully traversed India and Italy, storylines from both Citadel: Honey Bunny and Citadel: Diana will be woven into the upcoming second season of the mothership series Citadel,” Amazon MGM Studios TV chief Vernon Sanders said in a statement.

“While these successful and widely enjoyed international chapters will not continue as individual series, Season 2 of Citadel will be our most exhilarating yet,” Sanders added. “With high-stakes storytelling, new additions to our amazing cast and bold, cinematic ambition, the new season will deepen the emotional journeys of Nadia, Mason and Orlick against the relentless force that is Manticore.”

Citadel Season 2 — currently on track to premiere globally in Q2 of 2026 — will pick up one month after the events of the first season, with Citadel spies Nadia and Mason being hunted by Manticore agents around the world. “They’re pulled out of hiding to join forces with a new team of unconventional spies,” the official synopsis reveals, “when Manticore’s Brazilian billionaire Paulo Braga threatens to unleash a cataclysmic piece of technology, built by Citadel’s own Bernard Orlick, into the world.”

Citadel: Diana debuted October 10, 2024, and starred Matilda De Angelis as the titular Diana Cavalieri, an undercover Citadel agent who was stranded behind enemy lines as a mole in Manticore when she finally saw a way out and the chance to disappear forever.

Citadel: Honey Bunny premiered November 7, 2024, and starred Varun Dhawan and Samantha as a stuntman and struggling actress who got hurled into a high-stakes world of action, espionage and betrayal. Years later, as their dangerous past catches up to them, the estranged Honey and Bunny must reunite and fight to protect their young daughter, Nadia.
