Columbia grads create app that teaches Gen Z about investing

A recent report from the financial services company Charles Schwab shows Gen Z Americans are getting an early start when it comes to investing.
The study shows young adults are starting to invest in their futures, on average, at 19-years-old.
Part of what’s driving this trend is a rise in social media and resources available online.
One of the companies working to create more financial literacy is Alinea Invest — an app designed to help first-time investors learn more about saving for retirement and maximizing their assets.
Anam Lakhani, one of the companies founders, joined “The Rush Hour” on Monday to discuss the importance of investing early and financial literacy.
