CT cannabis company launches hemp-infused seltzer line
October 10, 2025
Connecticut cannabis retailer and product manufacturer Hi People has launched a new line of hemp-infused fruit seltzer drinks.
The company, which has a dispensary in Derby and is developing one in Hartford, is positioning the product as an alternative to alcohol for social drinking occasions.
“We designed these to give people a hangover-free social buzz,” said David Salinas, co-founder and CEO of Hi! People.
The drinks are infused with hemp-derived THC as well as CBG, another cannabinoid that is non-psychoactive and has been touted for potential wellness benefits.
According to market research firm Euromonitor, the market for hemp-infused drinks has been growing quickly and could reach $1 billion in sales this year.
The line will be available at Hi! People’s dispensary, but also at a range of package stores throughout the state.
A law regulating sales of hemp-infused beverages went into effect in Connecticut in July of last year.
