Dana White confirms ‘game changer’ partnership with Mark Zuckerberg that UFC fans will lov
April 2, 2025
Dana White has taken his working relationship with Mark Zuckerberg to the next level.
The unlikely duo first linked up for a potential fight with Elon Musk at the Colosseum in Rome.
Although the clash fell through, Dana White and the Facebook billionaire have remained firm friends since then.
The UFC boss recently joined the board of directors at Mark Zuckerberg‘stech conglomerate, Meta.
On Wednesday, White announced a new, long-term partnership between the UFC and Meta.
“UFC and Meta just signed a massive long-term partnership,” he said in a video shared to his various social media channels. “Meta will become UFC’s first-ever official fan-technology partner.
“This is great news for UFC fans. Why? Because this means Meta will use all of its bada– apps and technology like Instagram, Facebook, Threads, WhatsApp, and Meta AI to create amazing content and experiences for UFC fans.
“We’ve already started to work with Meta to create a new fighter rankings system that will debut later this year. Thank God!
“We’ll also be using Meta’s AI-powered glasses to capture UFC content. And we’re gonna do things with Meta that will blow UFC fans away. The next few years will be an absolute game-changer for fans of this sport. Stay tuned, everybody.”

White spent the vast majority of 2024 complaining about the people in charge of UFC rankings.
The UFC CEO used every opportunity he had to trash them for placing Islam Makhachev above Jon Jones on the pound-for-pound list – he conceded his lightweight champion is the best fighter in MMA after watching him beat Renato Moicano at UFC 311 in January.
However, he is still pushing ahead with the AI rankings idea he pitched during one of his many angry rants on the subject.
“Do you know what’s f—— great about technology? We’re not far away from AI actually doing these rankings,” White said last September.
“It’ll be a great f—— day when AI starts doing this s—. I’m really excited about that.”
