DC shuts down 2 businesses over claims of illegal cannabis sales

November 25, 2025

WASHINGTON (7News) — D.C. authorities said two unlicensed cannabis businesses have been shut down after officials found thousands of grams of illegal products and other controlled substances.

The Alcoholic Beverage and Cannabis Administration (ABCA) and the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) executed closure orders at DC Daze Wellness on Wisconsin Avenue NW and Snackz DC, also known as Xaza, on Florida Avenue NW.

Officials said the businesses “posed an imminent danger to public health and safety.”
