CANTON — Two Canadian residents are facing felony drug charges after a large quantity of cannabis was allegedly seized during a traffic stop Friday on West Main Street, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies . 

Deputies said they seized about 88 pounds of cannabis during the stop. 

Kensen Lazare, 25, of Quebec, and Miraya Oakes, 29, of Ontario, were each charged with first-degree criminal possession of cannabis. 

Both defendants were arraigned in Lisbon Town Court and released without bail, deputies said.  

They are scheduled to return to court at a later date, officers said.
