Duke men’s basketball partners with Amazon’s Prime Video to stream 3 games in 2026-27 season
April 30, 2026
Duke men’s basketball is coming to streaming.
The program announced a multiyear agreement with Amazon’s Prime Video April 30, which will include three neutral-site non-conference broadcasts in the 2026-27 season. The Blue Devils’ Nov. 25 matchup against UConn in Las Vegas, Dec. 21 matchup against Michigan in New York and Feb. 20 matchup against Gonzaga in Detroit will all be produced and streamed by the platform.
The deal is the first of its kind between a college sports program and a streaming platform. It also includes NIL opportunities for the program, with the expectation of a “broader retail partnership” to come in the future.
“As Prime Video’s first college sports partner, this collaboration not only expands the global reach of Duke men’s basketball, but also creates meaningful opportunities for our student-athletes in a way that reflects innovation and excellence,” athletic director Nina King said.
Prime Video already supports a large lineup of professional sports, including NBA and WNBA games, Thursday Night Football, the Masters Tournament and NASCAR. It also boasts partnerships with the New York Yankees, Seattle Kraken, Seattle Storm and Premier Boxing Champions. Outside the United States, Prime streams a variety of professional soccer, tennis and hockey events.
As of April 2026, a standalone Prime Video subscription cost $8.99 per month, while a full Amazon Prime membership, including video, cost $14.99 per month.
“It’s exciting to bring this relationship with Duke University to life, and we’re looking forward to presenting this premium college basketball showcase to fans around the world next season and beyond,” said Charlie Neiman, Prime Video’s Head of Sports Partnerships. “Duke basketball games transcend the schedule, and the creation of this all-new offering gives fans more of what we all want: marquee matchups featuring the most successful programs in the nation.”
Since ESPN remains the primary media partner of the ACC, the program has agreed to participate in additional neutral-site events owned and operated by ESPN across the 2027-28 and 2028-29 seasons. The exact details of those games have not yet been announced.
According to Nielsen, Duke was the second most watched men’s basketball program in the 2025-26 season, playing in three of the top-10 most-watched games and garnering an estimated 2.965 million viewers.
