A snowfall warning has been issued by Environment Canada for parts of eastern Cape Breton, including Sydney, Glace Bay and Louisbourg. 

The agency said the precipitation will start Sunday afternoon and last until early Monday morning.

It is expecting 10 to 20 centimetres of snow, although the warning says the snowfall totals will vary significantly between communities.

For the Sydney area and central Victoria County, the snow is expected to stall this evening.

Environment Canada says travel conditions will deteriorate, with roads and sidewalks likely becoming hard to navigate due to accumulating snow.
