The substantial growth of the renewable energy sector has reached into every nook and cranny of the international energy market in recent years. Leading the charge is Europe, which has mandated clean energy targets for the world to attempt to meet. A new development on the continent has given hope for the region to meet its mandated clean energy targets, as Envision Energy has teamed up with GES to expand wind-plus-storage deployments across Europe, beginning in Spain.

Envision Energy and GES are teaming up to boost the wind sector in Europe

Envision Energy is a market leader in the renewable energy sector and has teamed up with Global Energy Services, a leading provider of clean energy project services, to deploy more wind-plus-storage projects around the European continent, starting in Spain. By combining the untapped energy generation properties of wind power with the significant energy storage capabilities of battery storage, the renewable energy sector can grow to reach new heights.

The pair has agreed on an initial framework to integrate more Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Wind Turbine Generators (WTG) across Spain and Europe. This aligns with Envision’s European strategy to boost the standing of the renewable energy market across the continent. The new collaboration will cover the entire value chain of BESS and WTG plants across Spain and eventually the rest of Europe.

“By combining Envision’s global expertise in AI-powered energy storage and smart wind solutions with GES’s strong local resources and engineering capabilities, we aim to build a more robust renewable energy ecosystem and deliver higher-quality, more reliable project execution and long-term service support to the local market. Starting from Spain, we will jointly expand across Europe’s growing energy storage and wind sectors, setting a new benchmark for integrated service excellence and advancing Europe’s transition toward a clean energy future. – Henry Peng, Senior Vice President and President of Latin America and the European Region at Envision Energy

In the energy industry, collaboration and cooperation are the name of the game

The announcement of Envision and GES teaming up to deploy more wind-plus-storage projects across the European continent exemplifies the cooperative nature of the international energy market in recent years. A litany of new projects is being developed by consortia and collaborations between some of the largest energy companies in the world.

For example, SSE Renewable has teamed up with FuturEnergy on a new Irish wind farm project, so the evidence would suggest that collaborations are the best path towards integrating more renewable energy projects in the years to come. For the team up between Envision and GES, each partner brings their own expertise to the table.

Under the new framework, Envision will provide comprehensive training and digital tools to boost GES’s wind and storage capabilities, while GES, in turn, will leverage the substantial digital assets that Envision will provide to ensure a successful implementation of the necessary energy infrastructure for the project, paving the path forward for the project to be a driver of renewable energy growth across the European continent.

Spain has become a regional leader in the adoption of the wind power sector

Spain has been working exceedingly hard to accelerate the adoption of the renewable energy sector, with specific importance placed on the deployment of the wind power sector. With Grupo Enhol selecting Nordex as the preferred supplier of turbines for a repowering project in Spain, the wind power sector is leading the integration of the renewable energy sector in the nation. The future of the renewable energy market in Europe is moving ahead at an astonishing pace, paving the path towards clean energy production across the European continent.
