Here’s what CNBC TV’s producers were watching as the S & P 500 posted its strongest month since 2020, and what’s on the radar for the next session. Following the Apple Shares are up more than 3% in extended trading after the company beat earnings and revenue estimates. Services was an especially big win for Apple , but iPhone sales came in less than some expected. The stock is off 6% from the December high. Apple is flat year to date, and it was up almost 7% in April. AAPL 1M mountain Apple shares in the past month Big Oil and big CEO Interviews on three hours of ‘Squawk Box’ CNBC TV’s Becky Quick will interview both Chevron ‘s CEO Mike Wirth in the 6 a.m. hour and Exxon Mobil ‘s CEO Darren Woods in the 8 a.m. hour, after both oil giants report quarterly earnings. This will be the best look anyone’s had regarding global energy since the war with Iran began two months ago. Chevron shares have gained 9.3% in the past three months. The stock has advanced 3.5% since the war with Iran began. It’s off 10% from the March 30 high. Exxon Mobil has gained 9.1% over the past three months. The stock is off 12.5% from the March 30 high. It has added 1.2% since the war started. Brent has surged about 53% since the war started. West Texas Intermediate crude futures have gained 57%. The S & P Energy sector has risen 6.5% since the war started. Berkshire Hathaway Becky Quick will report live from the Berkshire Hathaway annual meeting Friday in Omaha, Neb. Shares of Berkshire Hathaway — the A shares, go big or go home — are down more than 5% so far this year. The stock is down 11% in a year. A shares stand at $711,900 as of Thursday evening. CNBC TV’s Julia Boorstin is covering the trial. You’ll recall last month Meta lost the $375 million case . The stock is down 7.3% so far this year. Meta dropped 8.6% in Thursday’s session. Investors weren’t so happy about capital expenditures revealed in the latest earnings report. April auto sales CNBC TV’s Phil LeBeau will be waiting and watching for the numbers as they roll in. Toyota has lost 15% in three months Shares are down 22% from the high. Honda has lost about 20% in three months. Shares are down 30% from the September high. Ford has fallen nearly 13% in three months. Shares are off 18% from the February high. General Motors has dropped 8.5% in three months. The stock is down 18% from the February high. Tesla has fallen 11.3% in three months. The stock is off 23% from the December high. Stellantis shares have tumbled 26% in three months. Shares have dropped 40% from the December high. The Russell 2000 was up 12.2% in April. The Dow Industrials gained 7.1% in April. Communication Services and Tech were the S & P’s top sectors, up 18.4% and 17.4%, respectively. Intel was the S & P’s top performer, up an incredible 114%. Sandisk was up 72%. ON Semi was up about 63%. AMD was up 74%. Western Digital was up 60%.
