It’s Z hottest matchmaking app on the map.

Facebook is finally clicking with Gen Zers on the market, as singles in their 20s are turning to the decades-old site’s “Dating” feature for love.

“Facebook Dating has me in a chokehold — I’m literally obsessed,” Lexa, 27, admitted in a viral vid, after confessing she’d previously thought that only “f—king weirdos” used the platform.

But the brunette soon began singing a different tune upon swiping across some of the “hottest men I’ve ever seen in my g—damn life.”

“Facebook Dating has to be the most elite dating app that I have ever seen,” Lexa fawned.

And she’s not alone.

Rising as an underrated, unexpected behemoth in the love connection landscape, Facebook Dating, launched in 2019, now welcomes over 21 million daily users, per a recent report via The New York Times.

Its popularity currently outpaces leading dating apps, such as Hinge, which draws roughly 15 million users per day.

Tom Alison, the head of Facebook, attributes Dating’s success to the social links that come standard with the free social medium.

“Underlying it all is that there are real people on Facebook,” he told NYTimes. “You can see who they are, you can see how you’re connected to them, and if you have mutual friends, we make it easy to see where you have mutual interests.”

That ease is attracting Gen Zs to the site — which has historically been rejected by youngsters as an antiquated app for 30-something millennials and older.

But Meta, Facebook’s parent company, has worked to ditch its “mom” vibes over the past few years, revamping the hub as a haute hotspot for creators, groups and events in order to lure in folks born after 1997.

“When you look at Gen Z usage on Facebook, they aren’t using the social media feed,” Mike Proulx, a director at Forrester VP, a research firm, explained in the report. “What’s bringing them back to the platform is Marketplace, Messenger, Dating.”

And the Zoomer-friendly updates are paying off in spades.

While Facebook Dating is mostly buzzy among people over the age 30, it has  around 1.8 million users in their 20s, and hundreds of thousands of young adults are creating new profiles in the app each month, per the company.

The data echos previous findings, which revealed that daily conversations on Facebook Dating among users aged 18 to 29 have increased 24% over the last year, according to recent a study. The investigation also determined that more than half of young adult users loyally come back, with 55% of women and 56% of men returning to the app on the quests for romance each month.

And Lexa’s TikTok fans seem to agree that the once-maligned app is the Gen Z daters place to be.

“I’ve had more conversations with men on Facebook dating than on any of the other apps,” another cheered.

“Facebook dating is lit,” an equally impressed whippersnapper wrote, in part.
