Gold, silver and platinum, all hitting new records as investors flock to safety, geopolitical tensions in focus as well as a softer dollar. The moves are also driving up shares of the miners including Freeport Mcmoran.

But sitting out the Santa Claus rally, Bitcoin, the cryptocurrency under pressure, trading right around $87,000. The move downward also weighing on crypto stocks and Friday marks a $23 billion options expiration for Bitcoin, meaning we could see some volatility.

We’re also watching shares of Apple edging higher. Reuters is reporting that China imports of foreign branded mobile phones rose 128% in November compared to the same time a year ago.
