Four men jailed for £100k cannabis grows on estate
Essex PoliceFour men who grew £100,000 worth of drugs at cannabis factories hidden on an industrial estate have been jailed.
Essex Police said it found 230 plants and the drugs, which weighed 46kg (7.2st), at two large units in Rectory Road, Grays, on 3 June.
Ervin Sadikaj, 34, Besjan Mustafaj, 32, Albest Deda, 27, all from London, and Pashk Gjonaj, 32, of no fixed address, were later arrested.
All four were sentenced at Chelmsford Crown Court having been convicted of being concerned in the production of cannabis.
Their drugs were being grown secretly on the Globe Industrial Estate.
Essex PoliceDet Sgt David Crane said: “Drugs are a poison in our communities that destroy lives.
“Where cannabis is being illegally grown and sold, violence and exploitation often follows.”
The defendants were jailed on Friday and given the following sentences:
- Sadikaj, of Langley Crescent, Dagenham – four years and eight months
- Mustafaj, of Booth Road, North Woolwich – four years
- Deda, of Lymington Road, Dagenham – three years
- Gjonaj – three years
Essex Police appealed for anyone with concerns about drugs in their area to contact its officers.
