HOLYOKE — City officials welcomed clean energy leaders to Holyoke on Monday for a tour of its wastewater treatment plant, hoping to attract new businesses interested in sustainable infrastructure.

The visit came just days before the Massachusetts Clean Energy Week Awards Gala, hosted by the Northeast Renewable Energy Coalition and set for Friday in Boston. Mayor Joshua Garcia is a finalist for Mayor of the Year, making him the first Massachusetts mayor to be recognized by the coalition.
