April 3, 2026

Cedar Shoals High School’s Automotive Tech Program will host the Hot Rodders of Tomorrow Auto Show on Saturday, April 4 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Cedar Shoals High School. Hosted by Tommy Landrum, the auto show is designed to bring the community together in celebration of all things automotive, highlighting automotive excellence and inviting enthusiasts to share their passion with others.

According to a press release, the family-friendly event will offer a wide selection of entertainment and activities throughout the day, including live music, food vendors, bounce houses, door prizes and more. A trophy ceremony will commence at 2 p.m. to recognize the best in each vehicle category.

The event will feature classic cars, hot rods, customs and late-model vehicles. The vehicles will compete for trophies in five categories: Best Hot Rod, Best Truck, Best Import, Best Ford, Best Chevy and Traveled the Furthest. Contestants can enter for $20 on competition day. The auto show is also introducing a “Kid’s Corner” this year, featuring the Cali N Tito’s decorated party bus and cornhole.

With a packed schedule full of events, games and activities, the Automotive Tech Program will attract a wide range of attendees to observe automotive excellence and have a good time.

“I just would want to invite everyone who has a show car to come on out… we just hope to see a lot of nice folks out at the car show on Saturday,” Dave Darden, event organizer and instructor, said.

While the event is centered around cars, Hot Rodders of Tomorrow operates with the goal of educating, with all proceeds going to Cedar Shoals High School’s Automotive Tech Program. This money will fund equipment purchases, student scholarships and program development. Led by Darden, the program is part of Clarke County School District’s Career, Technical & Agricultural Education (CTAE) initiative. The program’s goal is to set students up for success in the automotive industry.

“A lot of my students, they go right into the workforce right out of high school… our goal is to turn out certified technicians,” Darden said.

The auto show will be more than just a spotlight for cars and car owners, welcoming everyone into this outing, supporting the community and members of the program.

“Whether you’re a car enthusiast with a vehicle to show or just looking for a fun family outing, there’s something for everyone at the Hot Rodders of Tomorrow Auto Show,” Darden said in a press release.
