President Trump is standing by his First Lady as Melania Trump gets set to make her box office debut with her new film, MELANIA.

The President took to Twitter Monday, calling the movie a “must watch” while linking followers to Amazon, where advance tickets are being sold.

The so-called “Melania movie” is not a scripted or fictional account, but rather a documentary film that follows the First Lady in the 20 days leading up to the 2025 presidential inauguration. Filmmakers have promised “unprecedented access” to Melania, offering a look inside her world as she “orchestrates inauguration plans, navigates the complexities of the White House transition, and moves her family back to the Nation’s Capital.”

Acquired by Amazon MGM Studios for a reported $40 million, the Trumps screened MELANIA to a select group of friends and Amazon execs over the weekend, with Amazon Studios’ Mike Hopkins, Amazon CEO Andy Jassy, Apple CEO Tim Cook and New York Stock Exchange CEO Lynn Martin among the big names in attendance. Other guests at the intimate screening reportedly included Mike Tyson, self-help guru Tony Robbins, and photographer Ellen von Unwerth, who shot the movie poster for the film.

The world premiere for MELANIA is scheduled to take place at the newly-renamed Trump-Kennedy Center (formerly the Kennedy Center) in Washington on Thursday night. MELANIA officially opens in theaters worldwide on Friday, Jan. 30.

With Amazon as the distributors of the film, MELANIA is expected to stream on Prime Video later this year. For now, Amazon is offering advance ticket sales to watch the movie in theaters with ticket deals and showtimes at Amazon.com.

The new film comes on the heels of the First Lady’s self-titled memoir, which was released in October 2024. Published by Skyhorse, it’s on sale right now for 58% off. Melania’s memoir has also returned to Amazon’s political biographies chart on the heels of the new movie release. As of this writing, it ranks just behind the bestselling book, Becoming, from fellow First Lady, Michelle Obama.

Directed by Brett Ratner, who has been relatively quiet since he was accused of sexual harassment in 2017, MELANIA culls together hours of “exclusive footage capturing critical meetings, private conversations, and never-before-seen environments,” per a release, with Amazon Studios noting that the film “showcases Mrs. Trump’s return to one of the world’s most powerful roles.”
