If your child has these magnetic fidget balls from Amazon, throw them away immediately
January 23, 2026
Thousands of fidget magnetic ball toys sold on Amazon last year have been recalled because they are unsafe for children.
The Based Online brand toys were sold for about $6 from February 2025 through October 2025, according to an announcement with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. About 9,800 of them were sold.
The CPSC said they violate the mandatory standard for toys because they are loose, high-powered magnets. When swallowed, the magnets can attract to each other or other metal objects, and become lodged in the digestive system. This can result in perforations, twisting, and/or blockage of the intestines, blood poisoning and death.
Each recalled set includes four textured, silicone-covered magnet balls in white, yellow, blue and purple in a black, fabric case with a zipper. There are no identifying marks on the magnet toys.
Parents should take the balls away from children and contact Based Online for a refund. Consumers should take a photo of the balls in the trash and email it to recall@mail.goclimber.cn.
