Investment in Baltimore can be seen all around the city — and not merely with slogans, but with shovels, steel and a plan.From Camden Yards to M&T Bank Stadium to Pimlico, our city is making big, visible bets on itself.As the Orioles’ off-season begins, the vision at Camden Yards is for a more welcoming, year-round destination with refreshed gathering spaces that keep Eutaw Street buzzing even when there isn’t a first pitch.Across the parking lot, renovations at M&T Bank Stadium are modernizing the house the Ravens built with upgraded technology and places for fans to connect for an enhanced gameday experience.And, in Northwest Baltimore, demolition at Pimlico Race Course makes way for a right-sized, modern track and a campus designed to serve Park Heights all year long while continuing the horseracing legacy etched in the community’s history. These projects aren’t just about sports, but part of a much bigger picture. These investments are about jobs, contracts for small- and minority-owned businesses and apprenticeships for our young people.And, that’s just a start.With new investments come more inviting public spaces, transit connections and improved accessibility for everyone.
