The Israel Advanced Technology Industries Association held a first-of-its-kind strategic meeting in Tel Aviv, bringing together leading venture capital funds and investment groups with foreign ambassadors, economic attachés and diplomatic representatives stationed in Israel.

The meeting, led by IATI CEO and President Karin Mayer Rubinstein, was aimed at strengthening ties between Israel’s high-tech ecosystem and the international community amid ongoing security, economic and diplomatic challenges. IATI is the umbrella organization of Israel’s high-tech, life sciences, and other advanced technology industries.

About 100 participants attended the event, held at the offices of Arnon, Tadmor-Levy. They included managing partners from venture capital funds and representatives from foreign embassies, including the ambassadors of India, China, Austria, Japan and Singapore.

The discussions focused on the resilience of Israeli high-tech, global investment trends, artificial intelligence and investment opportunities in Israel. Participants included Foreign Ministry Director General Eden Bar Tal, Viola Ventures co-founder and managing partner Shlomo Dovrat, AI21 Labs co-founder Professor Yoav Shoham, Pitango managing partner Eyal Niv and PSG managing director Ronen Nir.

“At a time when the State of Israel and the Israeli high-tech industry are facing complex challenges on the security, economic and international fronts, strengthening the connections between the Israeli ecosystem and the international community is more important than ever,” Mayer Rubinstein said.

She said the meeting was designed to create “genuine connections between the worlds of investment, innovation and the diplomatic system,” and to give foreign representatives a closer look at “the strength, creativity and resilience of the Israeli high-tech industry.”

IATI said the initiative is part of its effort to deepen international cooperation, strengthen foreign investor confidence and help connect Israeli companies and technologies with global markets.
