It’s Not Like That, Prime Video‘s upcoming family drama series from faith-based content studio Wonder Project, will premiere in January, it was announced Monday. Starring Scott Foley, the eight-episode series will launch on Wonder Project’s subscription channel on Prime Video with two episodes on Jan. 25, with the remaining six episodes of the eight-episode season debuting weekly thereafter. Wonder Project will also sample the first episode on Prime Video for all subscribers on January 25, with a global release on Prime Video to follow at a later date.
From Ian Dietchman and Kristin Robinson (Life As We Know It, Parenthood), It’s Not Like That follows Malcolm (Foley), a pastor who is a recently widowed dad of three. Lori (Erinn Hayes) is newly divorced with two teens. Their families once did everything together, but now Malcolm and Lori must navigate their newly minted singledom, parenthood and the complexities of Malcolm being a modern-day pastor. Is this the beginning of a love story? It’s not like that. Or is it?
The series is billed as blending modern family drama with themes of connection, second chances, and navigating life after major transitions.

Jon Erwin, Justin Rosenblatt, and Jon Gunn also executive produce for Wonder Project, along with Foley, Brad Silberling, Alex Goldstone (Dickinson) for 42 & Anonymous Content and Kingdom Story Company.
