JAC Group Debuts at Beijing Auto Show, Unveils Industry’s First CV Quality Inspection Larg

April 27, 2026

Gasgoo Munich-The 2026 Beijing International Auto Show kicked off on April 24. JAC Group participated under the theme “Tech JAC, Smart Global,” showcasing a comprehensive lineup of products and advanced technologies. During a technical briefing that day, the group released the industry’s first CV quality inspection large model — Maiste.

According to Song Hua, deputy general manager of JAC Group Holding and director of the Technology Center, the model employs a Mixture of Experts architecture with 3 billion parameters. Its core capabilities include one-time training for reuse across all vehicle models, millisecond-level edge inference, full-category defect recognition, and 100% traceability across the entire chain. These features are designed to reduce defect leakage, empowering smart manufacturing with AI to strengthen the quality foundation of ultra-luxury products.

As detailed at the briefing, the launch of the Maiste CV model represents more than just an upgrade in quality assurance; it is a signal that JAC Group is evolving toward high-quality development and achieving significant progress.

New JAC, New Smart Manufacturing, New Model

During the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, leveraging four national-level innovation platforms, a joint R&D team of over 5,000, and a “quality alliance” of more than 200 global supply chain partners, the group successfully built the luxury flagship priced at one million yuan, the MAEXTRO S800. Since its launch, it has taken the top spot in the ultra-luxury segment priced above 700,000 yuan for consecutive months, with 15,000 high-quality deliveries, becoming a benchmark for Chinese brands moving up the value chain. Starting with MAEXTRO, JAC has been continuously reshaping and evolving to boost market competitiveness.

At the technical briefing, Song Hua outlined JAC’s new development direction, focusing on three key areas: system architecture, smart manufacturing, and the innovation ecosystem.

In terms of system construction, JAC aims to build a “New JAC” driven by data and AI strategy through the reshaping of organizational processes. A dynamic organization and agile, efficient processes will support the advancement of its ultra-high-end luxury brand. In JAC’s view, true ultra-luxury is defined not only by the product itself but by the evolution of the organization and the system behind it.

On the product and manufacturing front, in addition to using the CV quality inspection large model to strengthen checks, JAC Group has launched a “VTS+NPS” dual-drive system. This transforms direct user feedback into quantitative metrics, balancing extreme performance with user experience. The group has constructed a full-scenario virtual simulation system covering 14 major categories and over 1,500 sub-items, adhering to the philosophy of “validating it in the digital world before debuting in the real one.” With over 1,800 intelligent robots and more than 26,000 quality monitoring points, JAC has established a rigorous verification system across the entire product lifecycle, reshaping its engineering capabilities through smart manufacturing.

“We are making entirely new investments to achieve even the slightest improvement in excellence, building JAC’s unique engineering capabilities. Costs are not spared to ensure that the moment of delivery is without defects,” Song Hua stated.

Regarding the innovation ecosystem, JAC advocates breaking down boundaries between supply and demand to build a shared technology ecosystem. At the briefing, executives from leading supply chain companies—including Bosch, Brembo, Schaeffler, and BASF—along with numerous experts and scholars gathered, highlighting JAC’s emphasis on the technology ecosystem. Looking ahead, JAC Group is pursuing a dual-drive strategy of “independent development + open cooperation” to build a “one base, two wings” open proprietary technology ecosystem. With JAC as the engineering base, one wing links nearly 20 top academician teams and research institutes like Tsinghua University to focus on developing proprietary technologies. The other wing partners with over a dozen top supply chain allies—including Huawei, CATL, Schaeffler, and ZF—to establish joint research institutes. This promotes the engineering implementation of new technologies, forming a complete closed loop from R&D to industrial application.

During the auto show, JAC Group signed a joint innovation cooperation agreement with Tsinghua University. The two sides will deepen cooperation in frontier technology research, talent development, and technology transfer, further strengthening the group’s presence at the source of proprietary technology and injecting innovation momentum for high-quality development during the “15th Five-Year Plan.”

Multiple Mainstream Models Debut, Tech Achievements Unveiled

At this auto show, JAC Group presented a comprehensive lineup of models, including the MAEXTRO S800, the DEFINE-X and DEFINE-S concept cars, the Refine RF8 Yuexiang Series, and the Hantu PHEV. The group also showcased core technologies such as its full-domain wire-controlled smart chassis and the self-developed DHE145 high-efficiency hybrid engine, demonstrating its technical expertise and product strength in the intelligent new energy sector.

The DEFINE-X and DEFINE-S concept cars are built on JAC Group’s global DEFINE platform. With safety and intelligence as their foundation, they target the SUV and sports coupe markets respectively, exploring the platform’s capabilities. The DEFINE-S retains a supercar silhouette, with three motors delivering high power output. The DEFINE-X continues an aesthetic blending ruggedness with fluid dynamics, integrating the latest ADS version to make long-distance travel more comfortable and safe.
