Jeremy Clarkson offered his followers a candid glimpse into the launch day pandemonium of his pub, The Farmer’s Dog. While patrons enjoyed a seamless opening last August, a recent Instagram video showcased a rather tumultuous scene behind the curtains.

The broadcaster and agriculturist, hailing from Doncaster, shared footage on the pub’s Instagram page that depicted him looking quite dishevelled. In response to an enquiry about the day’s progress, Jeremy remarked, “Look, everyone is really happy, but behind the scenes… it’s a swan. Down there, graceful, people having a nice time, but behind the scenes chaos. S*** show.”

The post, which came with an explicit language advisory, garnered upwards of 21,000 likes, and one admirer wrote: “You made it through, Jeremy and Team Clarkson’s Farm! I felt stressed out for you watching from the settee! Look what you’ve created, and all the good this will bring. Pat on the back!”, reports Surrey Live.

This snippet was shared as enthusiasts of Jeremy’s Amazon Prime documentary, Clarkson’s Farm, observed the pub’s inauguration during the fourth series. The caption accompanying the video reminisced: “As you sit down to watch our pub opening in season 4 we remember last August… kind of fondly… but not entirely without a little PTSD.”

A viewer conveyed their unease, stating: “I was legitimately stressed out watching the finale. Happy to see you’ve (hopefully) finally got some sleep”, as reported by the Express.

Another lavished compliments on the new series, stating: “The new series has been fab, the pub is great.”

A third enthusiast raved about their recent visit, expressing: “Had lunch there today and was so impressed! The food was so good and the Le Pop was one of the best glass of bubbles I’ve ever had! Can’t wait to come back again some time!”

These glowing reviews followed Jeremy’s admission that he had overlooked a key detail just 40 minutes before the pub’s grand opening.

As shown on Clarkson’s Farm, the mistake became clear when it emerged that no one had set prices for the menu at their Burford-based pub. Charlie Ireland asked, “What about the prices? What are we charging?” prompting Jeremy to look blank and ask, “Oh, have we not done that yet?”.

Charlie confirmed, “Nobody has done it,” leading Jeremy to exclaim, “Oh for f*** sake.”
