June 10 is Going to Be An Exciting Day for Superman Fans

June 9, 2025

The Man of Steel will land in theaters next month, as James Gunn’s Superman is set to have its wide release on July 11, 2025. Some fans will be able to get a chance to watch the movie early, however, and they’ll be able to pick up tickets as early as June 10.

On X, Gunn shared a special poster for Superman touting a special early access screening for Amazon Prime members on July 8 at 7 PM. This will be in select theaters nationwide while tickets last. Tickets for these early access screenings go on sale on June 10, exclusively for Amazon Prime members. This means that June 10 will be an amazing day for Superman fans, though July 8 may be even greater.

David Corenswet’s Man of Steel Is Front and Center in New Superman Promotional Poster

David Corenswet’s Man of Steel is front and center in a new Superman promotional poster.

Written and directed by Gunn, Superman introduces David Corenswet as the new Man of Steel. He will serve as a major part of the DCU moving forward, which will blend characters from various upcoming movies and TV shows. It’s likely Superman will have sequels of its own as well if the movie turns out to be a big success in theaters next month. It could also be the role that Corenswet will be synonymous with for the rest of his life, though the actor feels completely okay with that.

“Would this be worth doing if this was the only thing I do as an actor for the rest of my life?” Corenswet said in a Time interview reflecting on taking on the role. “I think the answer is yes.”

Superman Just Got Beat Up By Someone You’d Never Expect

The Man of Steel was just brought down by the least likely enemy of all time, and there is no telling how they were able to beat him.

Gunn has also commented on what made Corenswet perfect for playing Superman. Beyond having the right look for the role, Corenswet is also someone who embodies what the Man of Steel is all about behind the scenes. Gunn even credited the actor’s wonderful nature on the set as what sealed the deal for the casting.

“I’ve seen sets that cater to an actor or director’s ego and that’s just not something that would happen with David,” Gunn explained of the choice. “He is Superman, even in his nerdiness. He listens to old jazz standards. Like that’s what he listens to, just as normal procedure. Like Superman, he’s a simple man in complicated times.”

The film also stars Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner’s Green Lantern, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Wendell Pierce as Perry White, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Terence Rosemore as Otis, Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., and Maria Gabriela de Faria as The Engineer.

Superman has its wide release on July 11, 2025.
