Washington Spirit owner Michele Kang will invest an additional $25M to support U.S. Soccer. The investment follows a $30M donation she made in 2024. In addition, U.S. Soccer CEO JT Batson and Kang, founder & CEO of Kynisca,announced that U.S. Soccer will integrate the current operations of Kynisca Innovation Hub into the Soccer Forward Foundation. This is the largest investment in the Soccer Forward Foundation since its launch in June 2024. The collaboration will support research to further the development of positive health outcomes for the sport and establish and implement standards and best practices for women’s soccer performance and the game’s development worldwide (U.S. Soccer).
