The message continued, “They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is—and always will be—raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect.”

With Katy, 40, and Orlando, 48, entering a new chapter in their lives, the latter seemingly alluded to their breakup while reflecting on the future.

Quoting Buddha, the Lord of the Rings alum—who is also dad to his and ex Miranda Kerr‘s 14-year-old son Flynn—shared to his Instagram Stories last month, “Each day is a new beginning. What we do today is what matters most.”

In another post, Orlando quoted the late Japanese Buddhist leader Daisaku Ikeda, writing, “The important thing is to take that first step. Bravely overcoming one small fear gives you the courage to take on the next day.”

Meanwhile, Katy’s support from her fans following the split has been more than a teenage dream. As she concluded her final day in Adelaide on June 30, she told the crowd, “Thank you for always being there for me, Australia. It means the world.”
