Katy Perry‘s daughter Daisy was seen for the first time on Monday as she joined the millions watching her mom fly to space on the all-female Blue Origin rocket mission.

The singer, 40, soared into the sky with a star-studded crew including Lauren Sanchez and Gayle King for an 11-minute trip, before safely touching back down on Earth.

And standing in the crowd watching on with awe was Katy’s fiancé Orlando Bloom, 48, and their four-year-old daughter Daisy, wearing a miniature astronaut’s costume.

The couple have kept the little girl away from the spotlight, with neither sharing photos of her face to social media before.

However, in Blue Origin’s footage of the historic event, Daisy was filmed watching the crew land, sweetly exclaiming: ‘My mama!’

While Katy paid a heartfelt tribute to her daughter in space, as she held a daisy flower up in the spaceship and again upon exiting the rocket after completing the journey.

In contrast, Orlando appeared to be largely keeping out of the spotlight during the big event, with the actor barely being captured on camera with many fans taking to social media to ask: ‘Where the f**k is Orlando?’

He was only spotted briefly with his hand over his mouth and craning his head up to the sky to watch the rocket blast off beside Oprah Winfrey.

Orlando didn’t appear to give any interviews to reporters either and notably didn’t rush to greet his fiancée as soon as she emerged from the capsule, allowing Katy to have the moment all to herself.

As she emerged from the ship, Katy stopped and held her daisy flower up to the sky for a couple of seconds before kissing it, and then bent to kiss the ground – a moment that quickly went viral across social media.

Explaining why she took the daisy with her, the Firework star revealed that it was symbolic as it is a flower that can ‘grow in all conditions.’

‘Daisies are common flowers but they grow through any condition, they grow through cement, through cracks, through walls,’ she said.

‘They are resilient, they are powerful, they are strong, they are everywhere. To me, flowers are God’s smile.

‘They are a reminder of our beautiful earth and the beautiful magic that is everywhere all around us.’

Speaking to reporters after the trip, Katy said she ranked the space flight ‘second to being a mom’, adding: ‘That’s why it was hard for me to go, because that’s all my love right there.

‘And I have to surrender and trust that the universe is going to take care of me and protect me and also my family and my daughter. To go to space is incredible and I wanted to model courage and worthiness and fearlessness.’

The pop star and Orlando welcomed Daisy Dove Bloom together in August 2020 after four years of dating, with Katy later explaining the sweet meaning of her name.

She told Jimmy Kimmel: ‘Daisy, to me, means purity, and Dove means peace and Bloom feels like it means joy. So it’s very, “Pure, peace and joy”.’

The hitmaker has frequently gushed about motherhood, calling Daisy her ‘soulmate’ and ‘best friend’.

She told the Sun in July last year: ‘It is funny how sometimes you’re looking for your soulmate in a partner… but for me it came in the form of Daisy.

‘Every night, before we go to sleep, I say, “I love you,” and then I ask, “Will you find me in every lifetime?” and she says, “Yes”.’

Despite not showing her face before, Katy previously revealed that Daisy has inherited both her parents’ looks, telling Access Hollywood she has a ‘combination of Orlando’s brows and my eyeballs’.

While she’s said their daughter has also taken after them in the personality department, telling People: ‘She is a combination of both me and her father, which we are fearless with lots of chutzpah and just big characters’.

In January, she added: ‘She is so excited. She’s an extrovert, of course, being raised by two extroverts, and she loves music and she loves mom’s songs.’

Fans got their first look at Daisy in November 2023, when the adorable toddler made her first public appearance at her mom’s last show during her Las Vegas residency.

While Katy performed to an excited crowd, Orlando danced with their delighted daughter in the audience.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star was seen bouncing a Minnie Mouse costume-clad Daisy, while her mother sang Chained to the Rhythm in a video shared on X.

The youngster wore headphones to protect her from being disturbed by the loud music during the rare public appearance

And Katy sweetly called out to her little one on stage during the show, as she exclaimed: ‘Daisy! I love you so much… You’re my best friend, I’m so glad you’re here.’

Blue Origin Flight NS-31 marked the first launch with an all-female crew since Russian astronaut Valentina Tereshkova’s solo space flight in 1963.

The women crossed the Karman Line, often used as the boundary of space, and were treated to roughly three minutes of weightlessness before they headed back down to the ground.

Their journey was powered by a reusable rocket which pushed the capsule into space before detaching and gently guiding itself back to Earth.

After the crew touched down, a number of celebrities called out their voyage on social media.

Model Emily Ratajkowski was among the growing number of stars criticizing Blue Origin for the space flight, saying she was ‘disgusted’ by the expedition

In a TikTok video, she said: ‘That space mission this morning? That’s end time s**t. Like, this is beyond parody.

‘That you care about Mother Earth and it’s about Mother Earth, and you’re going up in a spaceship that is built and paid for by a company that’s singlehandedly destroying the planet?’

Wondering about the purpose of the quick space journey, Emily continued: ‘Look at the state of the world and think about how many resources went into putting these women into space.

Olivia Wilde also shared her disapproval, sharing a photo of Katy kissing the ground to her Instagram Stories and writing: 'Billion dollars bought some good memes I guess'

‘For what? What was the marketing there? And then to try to make it like… I’m disgusted, literally I’m disgusted.’

While earlier this month, Olivia Munn slammed the space mission ahead of its launch, while appearing on Today With Jenna And Friends.

The actress asked: ‘What are they doing? Like why? You know what I mean? I know that this is probably not the cool thing to say, but there are so many other things that are so important in the world right now. What are you going to do up in space? What are you doing up there?’

The mother-of-two went on to compare the launch to a ride at Disneyland, before asking why those on the trip needed ‘to tell’ everyone about it, versus just going up, having a nice time and coming back down.

‘I know that this is probably obnoxious – but like, it’s so much money to go to space. You know, there’s a lot of people that can’t even afford eggs,’ she stressed.
