Kushery Cannabis Broken Into Again With Stolen Cars for the Third Time

November 17, 2025

This is the third time we’ve reported about The Kushery Cannabis being broken into with cars in a smash and grab scene. This story is almost a duplicate of stories we wrote inMarchandDecember of 2023.

On Sunday, November 16th at approximately 2 a.m., deputies responded to a burglary at The Kushery Cannabis, located in the 5600 block of 134th Place SE.

Upon arrival, deputies found one unoccupied vehicle used to breach the storefront and a second vehicle, which was occupied and attempting to flee. Mill Creek Police and Sheriff’s Office deputies initiated a pursuit of the fleeing Kia Optima.

Deputies successfully deployed spike strips near the 17800 block of SR 9 in Lynnwood. The suspect vehicle continued driving for a couple of blocks before becoming disabled near the 18000 block of SR 9 and crashing into a ditch.

Six suspects, wearing masks, gloves, and hooded jackets, fled from the vehicle on foot. A King County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit responded to the scene to assist. The K-9 tracked eastbound to a large property and apprehended a 17-year-old male suspect.

Deputies later determined the Kia Optima was stolen. The 17-year-old suspect was transported to Swedish Hospital to be evaluated. He is expected to be charged with Obstruction, Malicious Mischief 1, Taking a Motor Vehicle Without Permission 2, and Burglary 2.

Pot shops are attractive to criminals for both the cannabis on hand and the fact that pot shops have to primarily use cash for transactions because it is still illegal federally and many banks won’t process the transactions.

Anyone with information, or who can identify the additional suspects involved, is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 425-388-3845.

This remains an active investigation.
