LALBC To Present Forum On Improving Local Business Environment Feb. 13
February 7, 2025
LALBC NEWS RELEASE
The Los Alamos Local Business Coalition (LALBC) is organizing a series of Forums on Improving the Local Business Environment. All interested community members are invited. The first forum will occur on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. at the SALA Event Center. There will be an option to attend via Zoom for those unable to join in person.
This forum series is designed to bring together key players from the local business ecosystem to better understand local businesses’ challenges and explore solutions for strengthening economic growth in Los Alamos.
For the first forum, representatives from Los Alamos Commerce and Development Corporation (LACDC/Chamber/MainStreet), Los Alamos County’s Community Development Department, and the UNM-LA Small Business Development Center (SBDC) have been invited to give a 5-8 minute overview on their organization’s role in supporting local businesses, the challenges they see, and how they go about their work. Public comment and Q&A will follow to encourage discussion and engagement.
The Coalition has also invited the recently assigned County Councilor liaisons who work on business community-related matters to attend and participate. This forum is intended to provide valuable insights into the current state of the local business environment and opportunities for collaboration.
One Coalition Forum per month is planned for the coming months. For more information about the forum series, including tentative topics and dates for upcoming sessions, please visit:

We would also like to feature one or more local businesses at each forum. If you are a local business that would like to be featured, please email the Steering Team at coalition@losalamos.com — We are looking for short presentations (5 minutes or less) addressing one or more of the following:
- What would help your business grow?
- A success story you’d like to share.
- Challenges or barriers you’re facing.
We look forward to your participation and working together to support and strengthen the business community in Los Alamos.
