Stylist Molly Dickson is a deft hand at pulling major vintage finds and fresh off the runway looks for her client base, which includes Sydney Sweeney and Ariana Greenblatt. Having struck up a stylist-client partnership with Lauren Sánchez Bezos, the duo have hit on a real archival gem for Sánchez Bezos’s trip to Paris Fashion Week.

Photographed stepping out into the City of Light from the Ritz hotel with husband Jeff Bezos, Lauren Sánchez Bezos wore a gray skirt suit set from John Galliano’s spring 1995 collection. The blazer features a peplum waist, floating lapels, and super strong shoulders, cutting a structured figure and silhouette that has become somewhat of a signature for her. Adding the matching tight pencil skirt, she styled it with pointed black pumps, Balenciaga sunglasses, and a black Hermés Birkin bag. Her hair, styled by longtime Sánchez glam team member Rick Henry, was worn up in a layered bun with some face-framing pieces kept loose.

Jeff managed to make it a matching couples moment, wearing a similar gray longline blazer, a tight gray fine knit sweater, and tight gray jeans. Decidedly not Galliano, though—and his favorite white sneakers remained firmly on his feet. It’s not often that the couple, who got married in a lavish Venice wedding ceremony back in June, find a shared sartorial rhythm.

Dickson was able to pull the look for Lauren from L.A-based vintage haven Resurrection Vintage. Established in 1996 by Mark Haddawy and Katy Rodriguez, Resurrection Vintage keeps an extensive archive as well as a boutique, sourcing pieces for celebrities from Bella Hadid to the Haim sisters, gathering deep cuts from Rick Owens to Helmut Lang, Saint Laurent, and Vivienne Westwood. This John Galliano look in question comes from a 1995 collection. As shared by Dickson on Instagram, she was searching specifically for Galliano to offer Sánchez Bezos, and the vintage dealers were able to bust out this special, ultra rare skirt suit from a storage box to graciously lend out. They “said it was so special they didn’t ever want to lend it out,” but violá!

Galliano’s spring 1995 show was an early hint at the impeccable sets he’s later create as creative director at Christian Dior, with retro-tailored skirtsuits and his signature bias-cut slips. Essentially, a collection that screams Sánchez Bezos. Look 5 on the runway, it was modeled by Yasmeen Ghauri, and styled with a mini leopard beret and netted veil, with the peplum blazer cinched by a skinny leopard belt.

Vintage has been the name of the game this Paris Fashion Week, with everyone from Hailey Bieber to Kendall Jenner stepping out with their most special archival pieces. Both Jenner and Bieber pulled accessories from another vintage hotspot, the Vintage Marché.

Later, Sánchez also joined Anne Hathaway and Meghan Markle at Pierpaolo Piccioli’s Balenciaga debut. She wore a full fur coat dress cinched at the waist with a thick black belt and tight over the knee leather boots.

While Dickson’s styling relationship with Sánchez Bezos is still relatively new, it certainly marks the beginning of a new sartorial era that could see the pair plumbing the vintage archives even more. Most recently, Dickson dressed Sydney Sweeney (a friend of Lauren’s) in a custom star-adorned mini-dress by The Blonds that was a like-for-like replica of a Britney Spears dress. Elsewhere, she’s styled Syd in vintage Mugler, a Jean Paul Gaultier sailor suit, and custom Erdem. Working with Ariana Greenblatt, she’s also looked to vintage JPG and Mugler, and Oscar de la Renta and Dior for more high-drama gowns. With Greenblatt, Dickson has quickly established a strong, sultry aesthetic.

The Sánchez Bezos style formula centers on body-contouring silhouettes, structured tailoring, and dramatic dresses, usually by way of Dolce & Gabbana and Roberto Cavalli. What could come next with Dickson? With a few days still to go of PFW, there’s plenty more opportunities for sporting killer vintage.
