Four champions of Florida’s environment will be part of an Orlando Sentinel discussion Thursday evening to discuss key challenges facing our state and area.

As part of its 150th anniversary celebration, the Sentinel will host the environmental event at the 4Roots Farm Education Building, 1101 John Young Parkway, Orlando, from 5 to 7 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public, but attendees must register in advance. Sign up for tickets at OrlandoSentinel.com/RSVP. Space is limited.

As a special thank you, everyone in attendance will receive a free plant to take home, courtesy of Jungle Room/BWH Plant Co. in College Park.

Among the participants are Julie Wraithmell, Vice President and Executive Director of Audubon Florida; Kim Dinkins, Policy and Planning Director for 1000 Friends of Florida; and Ashley Rearden, Director of Conservation for the East Coast Zoological Foundation.

John Rivers, CEO of 4R Restaurant Group and chairman of 4Roots – our event site – will also share information about his group’s important environmental work.
