To the Editor: I love my daily walks around East Orchard, Gibson Road and Orchard Street! The mountains covered by trees a far, the beautiful open fields, the cross country trails please my heart and allow me to walk my Weimaraner gladly many days around this beautiful circle.

But then there is this intrusion, of the plastic bottles, cans, food, plastic containers thrown along by the side of our path, food left uneaten! I carry a recycling bag with me and sometimes pick up 7-10 cans, fill up bags with plastic food containers! It is a very sad, careless, disrespectful act that I observe! It saddens me that you don’t care for our beautiful community, our precious environment!
