Prime Day is here, and we’re updating this post regularly. To find the best deals in every category, follow all of our Prime Day coverage.
Here at the Strategist, we’ve talked to hundreds of celebrities about the everyday things — from lip balms to vitamins — they can’t live without. Because their endorsements are so convincing, we decided to round up the things they’ve recommended to us that are on sale this Prime Day. Below, you’ll find actually good deals on things like the coffee maker two celebrity pour-over enthusiasts approve of, the lotion both Naomi Watts and Imaan Hammam use for dry skin, and Chace Crawford’s Moleskine he uses for morning pages. To make shopping easier on you, I’ve sorted products into categories including beauty, home and kitchen, clothing, and everyday essentials. And for even more deals, make sure to check out our Prime Day hub.

Real Housewife of New York Jessel Taank told us this drugstore mascara is better than any luxury brand she’s tried (including Chanel and Saint Laurent). “A lick of it gives me those big eyes I want,” she says.

Here’s another celebrity-approved L’Oréal mascara, which is said to lengthen lashes while separating them (meaning no clumps). “The wand is superthin, so I can really dig into my lashes and apply the mascara fully. This is really the only mascara I use,” Victoria Justice told us.

If you prefer an all-natural formula, sisters Aly and AJ Michalka like Honest’s two-in-one mascara and primer. “I used to be a drugstore-mascara girl because I honestly thought that the cheaper ones were better. This may be a little more expensive, but I think it’s high-quality and it has organic and natural ingredients,” AJ says.

Joel Kim Booster, who told us he has acne-prone combination skin, says this ended his search for a nondrying everyday cleanser. “It’s easy enough that I can use it multiple times a day without worrying about stripping my skin. It is a great all-purpose sort of cleanser for me,” he says. “I’ve been sort of searching for a good cleanser for the better part of the last decade, and this one is the best one that I’ve found.”

Two celebrities — Naomi Watts and Imaan Hammam — have said how moisturizing this Eucerin lotion is. Watts says it’s the one thing that’s helped her badly cracked feet, while Hammam uses it to soothe her scaly winter legs.

On the hair front, Laila Gohar told us she’s been using Olaplex’s No. 3 Hair Perfector for nearly a decade after a hairstylist introduced her to it. “Now I always keep one of those little bottles around,” she says. “It makes your hair smoother and softer. It looks healthier and less split-end-y.”

Something designer Agnès B. and Courtney Love have in common is their perfume of choice. “I love it the most and it’s my go-to,” says Love. “No one can ignore you when you’re wearing it, yet it’s not annoying. It smells to me like a baby’s head, a field of dreamy white meadow flowers, and a touch of sex.”

And if you were ever wondering what Smokey Robinson’s signature scent was, it’s Calvin Klein Obsession. “I very seldom have used anything else. Oh, how do you describe a smell, honey? I have no idea. It just smells good on me, I hope,” the singer said.

Andrew Zimmerman and Kareem Rahma — both pour-over coffee enthusiasts — recently told us how worth it the Moccamaster is. “Using extremely simple technology, mostly having to do with the spray nozzle where the hot water comes out to go over the grounds, it basically sprays it on the sides and lets it drip down so all the coffee stays in the bottom,” Zimmerman explains. “So not only do you get a cleaner, better-tasting cup of coffee, but you can use less grounds per pot. It’s just beautiful.”

Michelle Buteau, who has 5-year-old twins, keeps multiples of these affordable sheets on hand while they’re potty training. And right now, they’re even cheaper, for just $10.

Celebs weren’t immune to the Stanley hype. Paige DeSorbo, Campbell “Pookie” Puckett, Hannah Brown, and Nicola Peltz Beckham all included the water bottle on their lists of things they can’t live without. “It’s so funny — it’s such a basic-girl thing, but they’re great and fit in the cupholder,” says Brown. “I love being able to hold the handle. What’s not to love? There’s a reason everybody’s obsessed with them.”

And the humble Nalgene is also on sale. John Schaefer, who was at first skeptical about it, bought one for his daughter and quickly became a convert. “I was like, Oh, come on, $15 for a plastic bottle? Well, that is the same bottle I’m still drinking out of 16 years later,” he says. “These things are indestructible.”

It’s no surprise celebrities are as obsessed with the classic Levi’s 501s as we are. Most recently, Brianne Howey told us these are her everyday go-tos, since they’re “incredibly comfortable, flattering. It’s a good classic straight fit, and I love the slight stretch.” And back in 2019, Karen Walker said they’re the denim that lasts her a decade. “Every six months, I buy a pair of sneakers, but every ten years, I buy a pair of 501s.”

And Zooey Deschanel told us her preference is dark-wash straight-leg jeans. “There’s just not any better jeans than Levi’s … They’re not overpriced, they’re just good jeans, and I like that,” she says.

Self-described Calvin man Marlon Wayans told us these classic cotton tees are on his rider. “I perform in these T-shirts because they’re soft without being too soft, formfitting yet loose, and durable — and they soak up sweat so I’m not looking crazy onstage,” he says. “They’re perfect. I wear them on tour, at the gym, and as an undershirt.”

According to Ego Nwodim, multiple Saturday Night Live cast members use this to stave off colds during the winter months. (Just be sure to buy the tablets and not the capsules, Nwodim says.) “It’s incredibly effective … I have them in my dressing room. I have them at our pretape studio. I have them in my apartment. I have them in my house. I have them in my purse in a little pill case. I have them everywhere.”
