Louisville’s first medical cannabis shop to open this weekend

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Louisville’s first medical cannabis dispensary is set to open this weekend.

Kentucky Alternative Care is opening its dispensary this Saturday, Jan. 31.

The store will be at 2401-B Bardstown Road. That’s near the Kroger and Norton Immediate Care Center. This is the first licensed medical cannabis dispensary in Jefferson County.

Back in December, Kentucky’s first one had to temporarily close because it ran out of product.

To shop, you must have a medical marijuana card.
